Inspection of vehicles / trailers requiring a VTR-68A form.
We will be conducting these inspections from 8am - 11:30am on the FIRST and THIRD Wednesday of each month. Inspections will cost $40, and payment is ONLY accepcted in the form of a Cashiers Check or a Money Order, made out to Travis County Sheriff's Office.
There would only be a few reasons why we would NOT charge for this service:
If you are moving to the State of Texas from out of the country or out of state and are just getting a VIN verification for the State of Texas, if the vehicle / trailer is already registered in your name or if you are Military.
If there is in-climate weather, inspections will be cancelled. Occasionally, we would have to cancel inspections due to other duties that cannot be re-scheduled. Please check our website for any cancellations before leaving your residence or place of business so that you do not make an unnecessary trip.
Bring the vehicle / trailer to be inspected to the Travis County Sheriff's Office / East Command (Collier Building). The physical address is: 7811 Burleson-Manor Rd. / Manor, Tx. 78653. If you are unable to google the the address, please give us a call for clear directions. You do NOT need to make an appointment, just show up between the hours specified and the dates specified and someone will be standing by to conduct the inspection.
